2027 Volvo EX60: It's electric driving designed to fit the rhythm of your day

The 2027 Volvo EX60 uses machine learning to understand your driving and charging patterns, adapting battery management and cabin pre-conditioning to help optimize range and efficiency. Charging from 10 to 80% takes around 16 minutes, depending on the powertrain and charger output. Every element, from structure to software, is designed to make the car lighter, stronger and more efficient.

Megacasting forms large sections of the body from a single piece of aluminium. It replaces hundreds of smaller parts, cutting complexity and waste while improving strength and precision. Cell-to-body integration builds the battery directly into the car’s structure. It lowers the weight and material usage, boosts range and performance, and frees up more space inside the cabin.

Built by subtraction – fewer parts, more precision

When you first encounter the EX60, it feels like the start of a new chapter in electric design. It carries the strong, sculptural presence of an SUV, yet every curve works with the air, not against it. A low front and gently sloping roof let air flow smoothly over the body, while the raised cabin maintains a confident driving position without increasing drag. Frameless doors and flush glazing keep airflow clean along the sides, and subtle deflectors at the front wheels calm turbulence around the arches. Beneath the car, a flat underbody reduces resistance, while the tapered rear lets air detach cleanly to support range. Even the smallest detail has a purpose. Active shutters close when cooling isn’t needed, and the mirrors are shaped to smooth airflow. In true Scandinavian form, beauty and efficiency work together to help you go further between charges.

A wide tailgate and flat floor make it easy to load everything from shopping bags to bikes. Fold the backrests individually or together for up to 64.3 cubic feet of cargo space. The 40/20/40-split rear seats let you carry long items like skis while keeping spots free for passengers. A control panel in the trunk lets you fold the rear backrests or operate the optional folding tow bar at the touch of a button. You can also open the power tailgate hands-free by moving your foot under the rear bumper – great when you’re juggling groceries or gear for half the hockey team. When you need to tow, the EX60 is ready for bigger jobs too, with a capacity of up to 4,500 lb depending on the powertrain.

All clarity, no clutter

The 2027 Volvo EX60 cockpit feels open and shaped with a clear sense of purpose. Its design draws on two contrasting worlds – the quiet flow of nature and the precision of craft – to create a space that feels both contemporary and timeless. The dashboard places a natural focus on the driver, while long horizontal lines stretch across the passenger side to open the cabin and give it balance. Surfaces carry the warmth and texture of a Scandinavian home. Tailored textiles, natural decor and subtle contrasts bring quiet richness you can feel. The EX60 landscape center display is positioned for easy tapping, paired with a forward driver display designed for quick and confident glancing. Technology sits in harmony with the materials, close at hand but never in the way.

Settle into seats shaped around your natural posture. Adjust with power controls, or extend the cushion for extra thigh support. Headrest speakers bring music, calls and directions closer so you hear them clearly. Stay warm with seat heating, or add ventilation for a cool, comfortable drive on hot days. Once you’ve found your preferred setup, save it to your personal profile. The seat, steering wheel and mirrors adjust automatically each time you unlock.

The 2027 Volvo EX60 stays calm and composed on the road. One-pedal drive lets you accelerate and slow with a single smooth movement, creating an easy, flowing rhythm. The standard chassis with a double wishbone suspension and Frequency Selective Damping technology smooths out bumps while keeping handling precise. And the long wheelbase and rigid body structure give the car reassuring poise. The active chassis with adaptive dampers offers an even smoother ride. It adjusts each damper up to 500 times per second to balance comfort and control, whether you’re gliding through the city or across uneven country roads.
